Hello! In this first video, we’ll talk about Nietzsche’s concept of nihilism in Fight Club by David Fincher.
English, Portuguese and French subtitles are available on the configurations ;)
To go beyond, here are some quotes from Nietzsche, related to the subject:
“Morality, insofar as it condemns on its own grounds, and not from the point of view of life’s perspectives and objectives, is a specific error for which one should have no sympathy, an idiosyncrasy of degenerates which has done an unspeakable amount of harm.” (Twilight of the Idols, “Morality as anti-nature”).
“I want to teach the affirmation of life, even in its strangest and hardest problems; the saying of Yes to life. ... The highest state a philosopher can reach: to stand beyond good and evil, and to practice the great revaluation.” (Twilight of the Idols, “Skirmishes of an Untimely Man,” §49)
“What does your conscience say? – 'You shall become the person you are'” (Gay Science, §270)
